Founded in 1953 as a commercial practice based in the City of London, acting primarily for commercial and property development clients, we were originally known as Harold Benjamin & Collins.
Sustained growth throughout the 1970s enabled us to establish offices in Harrow, South Harrow, Ruislip and Highgate but, in order to best serve the specialist needs of our expanding client base, we consolidated our resources into one single location and, in 1990, moved to north-west London.
Further growth has come about as a result of a series of mergers.
In the late 1990s, we took in by way of merger the commercial practice of Tomkins Boddy & Co and the property development practice of Cawthorns.
In 2000, we were joined by Littlejohn & Co which gave further strength and depth to our litigation department.
In 2013, we were joined by Jonathan S Rose, adding strength and depth to our existing core real estate offering and subsequently Ireland Abrahams who have added strength to our private client services.
In 2015, we returned to central London with the opening of an office at 48 Queen Anne Street, W1, with the acquisition of Pearson Lowe, a long-standing and well-regarded firm specialising primarily in working with high net worth individuals both in the UK and overseas. The new office has further raised the profile of the firm regionally, nationally and internationally and allows us to work in more flexible ways to better serve our client base.
In 2015, John Townsend, one of the country’s leading and most well-known commercial property auctioneers, joined us to head up the firm’s new Auction Advisory Service and the firm continues in growth in all practice areas to meet the needs of our clients.

We are accredited by the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme and we are members of ALEP, The Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners. We undertake all property searches using online providers and register properties electronically with the Land Registry documents online service both saving our clients time and money. We ensure we are on the approved panel of solicitors for most mortgage lenders which means we can act on their behalf too.
