This Government Bonus is worth £1,000 per qualifying employee, and whilst it may not be a huge amount, it is additional funding in difficult times.
For each employee you have furloughed and kept on at the end of the furlough scheme, and still in your employment until 31 January of 2021, an employer can claim this bonus of £1,000.
Each employee must be paid at least £1,560 gross in each month between 6 November 2020 and 5 February 2021 and they must not be on notice in that period.
The claim can be made between 15 February and 31 March 2021. It is a sum paid to employers, not employees, and must be treated as income for tax purposes.
