Dispute Resolution & Litigation

I work within the litigation team as a litigation executive. My clients benefit from my robust working knowledge of the law relating to debt recovery including the DPA, OFT guidelines and County Court rules. 

Experience

With a focus on debt recovery, I began my career as a Legal Manager with Sun Bank PLC where I was involved in all litigation cases for and against the bank together with supervising mortgage repossession and debt recovery cases. 

I later joined the Portman Building Society as a Legal Services Manager where I oversaw all litigation on behalf of the Portman Group including mortgage repossession cases as well as unsecured debt recovery.

I subsequently joined the Dispute Resolution department of a law firm where I advised on both commercial and residential mortgage cases and, as team supervisor, ensured procedures, service level agreements and timescales were met. I was also responsible for the training of other members of staff.

Prior to joining Harold Benjamin, I worked for more than 10 years as a paralegal in the Litigation department of a law firm where I handled mortgage repossession cases involving the issuing of court proceedings and taking each case through the courts from the preparation of particulars of claim and warrants for execution in addition to instructing agents for applications to suspend the warrant and warrants of restitution.
